Our Story

Our story dates back generations when our forefathers set out from their home in Gujarat, India for the Fiji Islands located in the South Pacific Islands. Finding themselves on the shores of these pristine islands, our forefathers set out to work , settling into a new life. As is with all travelers, they brought a part of their own into this new world. Naturally, it had to be food products. Since late 1920’s, BBC BHUJA is today a well known household brand name in Fiji trusted for use of natural ingredients, gluten free and 100% cholesterol free snack food.

We started with sharing the flavours honed from our traditional recipes from back home ,with our family & friends here in Fiji. It bore the exotic & authentic tastes of India & in some way it symbolised one of the many legacies of our motherland & our connection to this small group of islands in the South Pacific.

Keeping the traditional method of cooking is always an important element of achieving that uniqueness in colour, texture and wholesome taste in our snacks or Nimkeen. The process is handled with much care & love for its deep cultural significance to our family & since late 1920 our business has been built on the foundation of excellence & boldness to venture.

Swits-n-Snax (Fiji) Limited, was a necessity borne out of expansion in the year 1986 and to support the growing demand for the “BBC BHUJA” business.  Swits-n-Snax manufactures and wholesales “BBC BHUJA” brand and manufacturers a range of products and sizes. Today, the same BBC Bhuja products are sold in all local supermarkets & stores Fiji wide and we also export to our neighbours in the Pacific, New Zealand and United States of America.

Today we are still a 100% family owned business. Managed by 3^rd & 4^th generation family members, we proudly continue the tradition of manufacturing finest quality of Indian Snacks (Nimkeen or Bhuja). The brand name BBC BHUJA is owned by Swits-n-Snax (Fiji) Limited, a large volume manufacturing business and sister company of Bhikhabhai And Company Limited.

We are now the largest manufactures of Bhuja range of snacks in Fiji today & we aspire to deliver on our promise of quality Indian snacks to the families of Fiji & abroad.
